Privacy Policy

ChorusMind is a personal memory app: you capture notes, photos, and voice recordings, and the app turns them into searchable text. Your captures are private by design. This page explains exactly what data the app handles, where it goes, and what never leaves your control.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, used to sign you in (one-time codes — no password) and to identify your data.
• Your content: the notes you write, photos you add, and voice recordings you make, along with the transcripts, summaries, analyses, and translations generated from them.
• Location (optional): if you grant location permission, each capture is tagged with where it was taken. Decline the permission and captures are simply untagged — the app works fully without it.
• Usage records: a count of the AI actions you run (this powers your credit balance) and basic diagnostic logs if the app crashes.

We do not collect contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or any data from other apps.

How your content is processed

Your content is stored on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by per-user access rules — each account can only ever read its own data.

When a capture is transcribed or you run an AI action (Summarize, Analyze, Translate, Ask), the relevant photo, recording, or text is sent to our trusted third-party AI provider, which processes it and returns the result. Under our agreement, your content is never used to train their models, and files sent for processing are deleted from their systems shortly afterward.

To power Ask Chorus, we build a private search index derived from your notes. It lives with your data and is deleted with it.

What we never do

• We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
• We never use your content to train AI models.
• We never show your content to other users — there is no social layer.
• We never read your content ourselves except when strictly required to debug a problem you report, with your permission.

Purchases

Credit purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store (and, in the future, Google Play). We receive a transaction record to credit your account; we never see your payment details.

Crash reporting

If the app crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version, the code path that failed) is sent to a crash-reporting service so we can fix it. Crash reports do not include the content of your notes.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as you have an account. You can delete individual notes, captures, or AI results at any time — deletion is immediate and permanent.

You can delete your entire account from Settings → Delete account. This permanently erases your account, every note, photo, recording, transcript, AI result, and its search index. There is no recovery after deletion.

Children

ChorusMind is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and note it in the app. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
